The modernity of the after-modern: on the German poetry of the 90's
Abstract
No ano de 1989 Hans Magnus Enzensberger, um dos eminentes poetas vivos de expressão alemã, publicou um ensaio no qual a lírica da época precedente dos anos 70 e 80 foi censurada de maneira sarcástica por ser esteticamente epigonal e tematicamente trivial. Quem hoje em dia folheia as antologias daquele tempo, como o fez Enzensberger, não achará exagerado o juízo dele, diante de exemplos abundantes de crítica social em versos e de auto-reflexão sentimental. Sem dúvida havia também uma poesia que cumpriu rígidos parâmetros formais, seguindo linhas da tradição mais antigas, mas geralmente foi criada por autores que encontraram o seu tom particular nas décadas anteriores, autores como Karl Krolow, Ilse Aichinger, Ernst Jandl, Friederike Mayröcker, Peter Rühmkorff, Volker Braun, Sarah Kirsch, Oskar Pastior ou o próprio Enzensberger. A corrente principal da produção então jovem era não só prosaica, mas até carente de critérios literários. Parece que essa realidade mudou, porque vários indicadores atestam para os anos 90 uma produção lírica que foi elogiada pela crítica profissional e até festejada por um pequeno grupo de aficionados.Downloads
