Abstract
As Palavras, de Jean-Paul Sartre, é um livro que se justifica em seu próprio precon-ceito: regido pelo signo da lembrança, conta-nos a trajetória de uma escrita em fundamento e evolução, percorrendo toda a sua aventura, mas faz desse percurso uma total apoteose. Desse livro, portanto, podemos dizer que a verdade está na sua parcialidade. Poderia ser também, ao certo, um livro de queixas: Sartre reclama para si o posto de "pequeno existen-cialista", misturando, claramente, no livro, a quem o lê e a quem o escreve, as inclinações do adulto e as impressões infantis: ele quer nos surpreender a cada evento, apagar as suspei-tas pela boa-fé, cancelar as distrações e incertezas trocando-as pelo Destino, constituindo uma certeza de que o livro o tempo todo escapa.
