Lembrança e percepção como (nova) potência da literatura
Abstract
Há um ensaio de Henri Bergson, publicado na Revue Philosophique, em 1908, com o titulo de “Le souvenir du présent et la fausse reconnaissance”, que nos fornece um bom ponto de partida. Nele Bergson postula que, graças ao fenômeno do falso reconhecimento, o presente divide-se em duas vertentes, uma que, de fato, dirige-se ao passado, enquanto a outra se encaminha ao futuro. A primeira tendência é a lembrança; a segunda, a percepção. Partindo de uma mesma fonte atual, percepção e lembrança divergem, entretanto, quanto à suas respectivas orientações. A percepção, lançada em direção ao futuro, está sempre en avance, ao passo que a lembrança, recuando ao passado, opera en retard e parece simplesmente uma cópia demorada da percepção em ato. Assim, a lembrança só consegue sobreviver porque possui uma natureza diversa da percepção: ela é virtual, como o são as figuras que vemos do outro lado do espelho, ao passo que a percepção é atual, tal como o corpo que produz essa imagem.Downloads
