Antônio Cândido, ao longo de seus textos, ocupou-se, entre outras atividades intelectuais, de desvendar o processo de mudança social e política no Brasil. Como homem de ciência e homem de ação, ele produziu muitos materiais (textos, artigos, documentos) que tinham o objetivo de ajudar as forças progressistas a clarear os caminhos para a sedimentação de procedimentos democráticos que pouco a pouco vencessem as exclusões sociais e políticas e preparassem as condições para a emergência de uma sociedade socialista. A primeira tarefa nesse processo de transmutação da sociedade brasileira era, então, vencer o oligarquismo, os vícios políticos e o oportunismo.Downloads
