A ética e a caixa de ferramentas

The author ponders over his experiences as a psychologist and the reasons which have lead him to follow not just an unique theoreticalcurrent in his therapeutical practice. He developed his practice with a Spinozist ethic approach which seeks whatever may be good, for the individual, in other words, the factors responsible for improving the acting power of the body and soul; simultaneously, in his practice he fights against whatever may be bad, whatever negates life and poison it: the sad passions. Confronted with the complex reality, it is necessary to make use
of the different theoretical tools, which may, somehow, contribute to the achievement of the ethic objective of destructing sadness and produce joy of life.
