This article intends to think over the Catholic Institution according to a reformist project of the Latin-American society designed after the Second World War, departing from the deepest dimensions of human relations, where are at stake values, behaviors and social actions. The Catholic Church represents a hierarchically structured institution which not only features behavioral patterns, but also assumes a theoretical-analytical approach, related to social practice. Thus, according to this point of view, the institution is linked to dynamics that suggests the interrelationship among religious beliefs, social ethics and social change. So the Latin-American Catholic discourse, understood as being exemplary, is also formed by an cultural universe and therefore demands the rethinking of its own concepts in order to enter into the world configuration of historical subjects and to create an alternative dialogue that considers the desires, values and the cultural parameters of these same subjects.Downloads
