PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCIES IN ACTION IN SOUTH OF BRAZIL

The paper reports a research done with Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) in action in the Southern Region of Brazil. Instrument used for the development of European third level regions, the RDAs are relatively nascent in our country. The research was done using interviews with managers and specialists on RDAs. The results are questioned and there is a confrontation of opinions on both sides so as to build guidelines for the setting of directions and help in the formulation of public policies for development.
