Abstract

This article is a brief report over the Chinese clusters, their stage of development, problems, public policies and trends. They are described clusterized regions, the main types of clusters and the Chinese characteristics and problems of these clusters, including government support. The main conclusion is that the level of cooperation and innovation is still low and that it is necessary to change competition based on labour costs for the competition on endogenous development and innovation, which, regarding the latter factor, has occurred, especially in clusters producers of equipment and components.
