Open access policy
The Iberoamerican Journal of Industrial Engineering (IJIE) adheres to the open access definition of the DOAJ, providing public access to all of its content. This is based on the principle that free availability of research promotes a greater global exchange of knowledge. Therefore, it follows the diamond open access model.
The journal publishes all content free of charge, with no submission, publication, or access fees. Published manuscripts are not subject to embargo periods, and user registration is not required to access the content.
Authors grant IJIE the exclusive rights of first publication, while the work is simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) 4.0 International License.
Authors are permitted to enter into additional, non-exclusive contractual arrangements for the distribution of the version of the work published in this journal (e.g., posting in an institutional repository, on a personal website, publishing a translation, or including it as a book chapter), provided that authorship and initial publication in this journal are acknowledged.
This license allows any user to:
Share – copy, download, print, or redistribute the material in any medium or format.
Adapt – remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
Under the following terms:
Attribution – You must give appropriate credit (cite and reference), provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
No additional restrictions – You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
The editorial management process is carried out using the Open Journal System (OJS), an open-source platform developed by the Public Knowledge Project. The use of this system enhances transparency, enables information tracking, and improves the academic and public quality of research.
