Abstract
Dipterous parasitoids collected using pitfall traps in Itumbiara, Goiás. The objective of the study is to report the species of parasitoids have got in pupae of Diptera using pitfall traps in Itumbiara, Goiás. Dipterous pupae were obtained by sifting for retreat and individually placed into gelatin capsules until emergence of the adult Diptera and/or parasitoids. From January to November 2005, five species of parasitoids were collected in 803 pupae of Diptera: 157 specimens of Gnathopleura quadridentata Wharton (Hymenoptera: Braconidae), 43 specimens of Neralsia sp. (Hymenoptera: Figitidae), two specimens of Spalangia endius Walker (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae), one specimen of Spalangia nigroaenea Curtis (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) and 13 specimens of Trybliographa sp. (Hymenoptera: Figitidae). The total percentage of parasitism was 27.4%. The percentages of parasitism for G. quadridentata, Neralsia sp., S. endius, S. nigroaenea and Trybliographa sp. were 19.6%, 5.4%, 0.1%, 0.2% and 2.1%, respectively.Downloads
