Abstract
The phenotypic distribution of the plasma proteins albumin, transferrin and haptoglobin in the Costa da Lagoa (CLG) and São João do Rio Vermelho (SJRV) communities was identified by starch gel electrophoresis. The following allelic frequencias were found: CLG - ALB*A = 1,000; TF*C = 1,000; HP*1 = 0,522 and HP*2 = 0,478 and SJRV: ALB*A = 1,000; TF*C = 0,992; TF*D = 0,008; HP*1 = 0,534 and HP*2 = 0,466. These populations can be considered to be in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, and, in spite of the different gene flow, the differences between the two sets of results are not statistically significant.Downloads
