Abstract

Presence and distribution of the genus Etmopterus in Brazilian waters are discussed on the basis of records of E. bigelowi, E. gracilispinis and E. lucifer. Specimens stored in Brazilian museums are cited and two new records of E. bigelowi are presented with morphometric descriptions.
