Abstract
The hemiénis of Philodryas aestivus is described and its morphology is discussed on the base of 8 preparations. Vouchers were selected in order to represent as better as possible the distribution range of the species. The organ is bilobed, semicalyculate and semicapitate with proximal divided spermatic sulcus. Intraspecific variation in the number of spines in each row and in the number of rows of large lateral spines was observed.Downloads
