Surveys of soil ants were carried out in four areas of Pinus elliottii plantation with distinct vegetation and litter structural complexities. Nineteen species of ants were registered: area I (4 species), area II (1), area III (12) and area IV (14). The increase in habitat complesity was followed by an increase in species richness. A species of Paratrechina dominated area II. This genera is composed of typical oportunistic and pioneer species.Downloads
