Abstract

Located at Blumenau, in the State of Santa Catarina Brasil, the Artex Ecological Park has an area of about 5300 hectares covered with the atlantic Florest. In order to identify birds we used the visal contact method with the aid of a 7 x 22 mm Minolta pair of binoculars and the voice identification, as we walked on the paths at the Park. Up to now, 160 species were identified. The region called Segunda Vargem presented the highest specific richness due to environmental diversities.

Carlos Eduardo Zimmermann  Possui graduação em Ciências Biológicas pela Fundação Universidade Regional de Blumenau (1991), graduação em Ciências Licenciatura de Primeiro Grau pela Fundação Universidade Regional de Blumenau (1988) e mestrado em Recursos Genéticos Vegetais pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2000). Atualmente é outro (técnico nível superior) da Fundação Universidade Regional de Blumenau. Tem experiência na área de Ecologia, com ênfase em Ecologia da Dispersão de Sementes, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: aves - anilhamento - conservação, aves - anilhamento - biometria - conservação, levantamento - distribuição geográfica - aves, avifauna - conservação - fragmentação florestal e aves - dispersão - sementes - ecologia. Atualmente cursa doutorado na universidade Federal do Paraná, no curso de Ecologia e Conservação. Certificado pelo autor em 23/11/10
