Some aspects on the study of behavioural teratology such as the vulnerability of developing organisms, the maternal, the environmental and the testing procedure influences are presently commented. It also emphasizes the importance of longitudinal research design to detect delayed and long-term effects of chemical substances. In addition, it shows the value of behavioral testing to assess the impact of low level chemicals on organism development.Downloads
