The authors studied the system of the ramus principalis sinister in 30 libers renoved from young and adulto Pekingese (8 males and 7 females) and German Shepherd dogs (8 males and 7 females), radiography and dissection. The results of this investigation indicated: 1) The system of the ramus principalis sinister is composed by ramus lateralis lobi sinistri (100,0%), ramus medialis lobi sinistri (96,7%), ramus lobi quadrati and ramus processi papillaris (90,0%) ductus cysticus (80,0%), ramus medialis lobi dextri (76,7%), ramus processi caudati (6,7%), and also some contribution of the lobus lateralis sinister, lobus medialis sinister, lobus quadratus, lobus caudatus (processus caudatus and processus papillaris), and lobus medialis dexter; 2) The existence of an anastomotic tract between the ramus peocessi caudati and the ramus processi papillaris, linking the ramus principalis dexter and ramus principalis sinister systems, was verified in two pieces (6,7%) of the Pekingese race.Downloads
