Based on a set of young and adult individuals, we have analised here the osteological structure of tail complex of Pachypops adspersus (Steindachner). The obtained results not only confirmed the systematic position of this group of fishes in the taxonomic grades of Super-order (Acanthopyterygii), Order (Perciformes), Sub-order (Percoidei) and Family (Sciaenidae), but also permited to amplifly the knowledge about the morfo-anatomic and evolutionary features of the species and the family in which it is included.Downloads
