Abstract

The role and importance of public health policies in Brazil is undeniable, where each professional in his field needs to seek strategies for intervention according to his workplace and the population to be served. Thus, the objective of this study is to know the profile of users of CAPS ad in the city of Lages - SC in order to propose to the assisted population new coping strategies with regard to the harm reduction proposal related to drug use. It is a survey (qualitative / quantitative) carried out in medical records of users in 2020. The results were analyzed based on content analysis categories, where discussions were established regarding the practice of the multidisciplinary team of that service. regarding the proposed harm reduction in the use of drugs, respecting the profile of users. It is concluded that the profile of the user of CAPSad de Lages - SC is composed of men, aged between 31 and 45 years old, currently single, complete elementary school education level, resident of the southeastern part of the city, alcohol user predominantly associated to multiple substances, it is currently in use, coming to the service by spontaneous demand and user in general of another health service.
