Accounting ratios and the decision to pay dividends

The accounting ratios work as a measure of the many economic and financial aspects of the companies. Through them, this research seeks to identify which aspects are relevant to the dividend distribution in Brazil, considering together many relevant legal aspects. It was found by logistic regression that some of them are statistically significant for this purpose: ROE, liquidity, size, investment, unstable income and stability of dividend policy.
