Chinese Expansion in Africa: trade, investment and financial flows

Abstract

The African continent is stated recently as an important frontier of expansion to China, because the vast availability of natural resources and by the consumer market potential for Chinese products. From a strategic joint that connects financial institutions, state enterprises and government, China is approaching more and more of the continent’s countries. The article presents the broad strokes of Chinese expansion in Africa in recent years related to the increase of trade flows, foreign direct investment and financial flows.
