Abstract

This paper aims to find, through bibliometric research and the content analysis, contact points to facilitate dialogue between feminist theories and other theoretical traditions, seeking for ways to approach and foster the dialogue between them. To do so, we revisit the genesis of the feminist economics studies, in order to establish fundamental theoretical inspirations for feminist economics and how this connection took place. In the early days of the development of feminist theory there was an important influence of theoretical traditions in the field of economics, with emphasis on Marxist theory and neoclassical theory, as well as sociology, specifically feminist social theory and its Marxist strand.
