Abstract

This essay has the goal of presenting the articles from the first part of the Teaching Social Sciences Dossier, number 13, that bring contributions to teaching and research in social sciences. It refers to the dynamic and accelerated movement of the transformations in current society in an introductory fashion, that have demanded collective and systematic reflexion and interventions in the socialcultural and political contexts in which the educational process is inserted. The articles are presented with their significant contributions that, from social sciences and for social sciences, problematize and propose fundamental questions about the limits and possibilities of teaching and researching in social sciences.
