The teaching perspective on the Social Sciences in the integrated secondary school

Abstract

Social science teaching is the problematizes in high school integrated into the professional at the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC) in view of the teachers responsible for this area, which is represented by the sociology discipline. The goal is to know what their correlation with broader dimensions of teaching in the IFSC. For this, the teachers answered a questionnaire about teaching sociology where mentioned obstacles present in everyday life, which extend beyond the classroom and embrace issues involving technical servers, managers and other teachers. Dialogued with Silva (2007; 2009), Jinkings (2007), Sposito (2003), Shiroma, et. al. (2011), among other researchers transiting through the sphere of work and education. Preliminary data indicate that sociology at the IFSC has set amid contradictions as the content taught, methodologies, in addition to the scarce recognition and legitimacy of the discipline by some managers and teachers.
