A balance about the teaching sociology field in Brazil

Abstract

This paper makes an analysis of the Teaching Sociology field in Brazil, focusing on its development and challenges, taking as a guide the argument that the transformations that occur in basic education have a direct impact on the teaching of social sciences at the graduation level, as well as on research in Postgraduate level, which includes both the Postgraduate Program in Social Sciences Sociology as the Postgraduate Program in Education.This paper makes an analysis of the Teaching Sociology field in Brazil, focusing on its development and challenges, taking as a guide the argument that the transformations that occur in basic education have a direct impact on the teaching of social sciences at the graduation level, as well as on research in Postgraduate level, which includes both the Postgraduate Program in Social Sciences Sociology as the Postgraduate Program in Education.
