Abstract

This article aims to present one of the results of a research project we are carrying out into the study of cases of virtual lynching. The research has been based on collecting, categorizing and systematizing a set of cases, transformed into data through a series of typologies. Analysis of the material has revealed the presence of a structural homology between them, as if there were a kind of internal progression. This progression suggests the existence of a series of regularities, which are repeated in the cases analyzed, with their own dynamics. These regularities were subsequently analyzed through the sociology of justification and the perspective of power analysis, especially around the concept of device, with the problem of the meaning of social action at its center
