Abstract

In this paper we review the book "Eugenics Yesterday and Today" by Robert Wegner. We will begin this review by discussing some important aspects of the current debate regarding eugenics, considering that it is in this context that the publication of works such as Robert Wegner's is explained. In the second part of the review, we will specifically analyze the book "Eugenics Yesterday and Today".

Professor com dedicação exclusiva no Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina (IF-SC). Doutorando no Programa de Pós-Graduação Interdisciplinar em Ciências Humanas da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). Mestre em Desenvolvimento Regional pela Universidade Regional de Blumenau (FURB). Especialista em Estudos Literários pela Universidade Regional de Blumenau (FURB). Graduado em Licenciatura Plena em História pela Universidade Regional de Blumenau (FURB). Possui experiência no Ensino de História. Pesquisa os temas: História do Corpo (Discurso médico, corpo e subjetividades), Patrimônio Cultural e Arqueológico do Litoral Sul de Santa Catarina, História e Literatura.
