Um encontro entre o médico e o doente nas "Memórias" de Pedro Nava
Abstract
Nas "Memórias" de Pedro Nava (1903-1984), o narrador trata da angústia do médico recém-formado ao enfrentar a dor, o sofrimento e a morte. Para tanto, apresenta detalhes a fim de comprovar a veracidade de suas palavra e os entremeia a imagens visuais e literárias emprestadas da arte médica e da literatura. Porém, a primeira visada está alicerçada numa retórica laudatória, em histórias da medicina e de artes da cura no Brasil. A síntese final, a prosa autobiográfica, nos propõe uma reflexão sobre o seu estatuto, cujos fragmentos da memória pessoal e coletiva são organizados em conjunto com os da historiografia.Downloads
