PSB-SP: Socialism and "Tenentismo" in the 1933-34 Constituent Assembly
Abstract
Created under the influence of the temporary governor assigned by Getulio Vargas after the July, 9th - 1932 inssurrection was crushed, the Brazilian Socialist Party in São Paulo (PSB-SP, in Portuguese) congregated - to its system of political, social, and economic bases - contradictory influences: socialism and corporativism. Such orientations were decisive to its action and to the actuation of PSB-SP members elected to the Contituent Assembly that took place during the years 1933-1934.Downloads
