Casar e separar: dilema social histórico
Abstract
This article investigates how marriages were made and broken, besides the legislative rules and the Catholic Church’s patterns. It also shows the way in which Brazilian’s law tried to obstruct the attempts of living out of marriage. It still points out the manner how civil marriage, in spite of the separation between republican government and Church, kept hierarchical rules towards marriage institution that returns to the preceding period.Downloads
