O sentido da devastação; para uma história ambiental no Brasil
Abstract
O conhecimento dos métodos de acumulação primitiva de capital, empreendida pela colonização portuguesa, examinada internamente, pode constituir ponto de partida para estudos teóricos, metodológicos e historiográficos e de pesquisas empíricas sobre devastação ambiental no Brasil. O estabelecimento de algumas hipóteses de trabalho constitui o esforço do texto. Formulações teóricas da Economia Política e análises da historiografia sobre o período permitem considerações prospectivas.
