Abstract

The article approaches the resistance undertaken by congressman João Mangabeira, after his prison in 1939, trough the analysis of the habeas-corpus petitioned to the Federal Supreme Court and other pronouncements done by the politician, denouncing irregularities practiced by the government of Getúlio Vargas.
