Abstract

In this article, I share some thoughts on the historians’ work in the archives. In order to do that, I depart from my own experience in an ongoing research on the making of the oil working class, in Comodoro Rivadavia, Patagonia Argentina, from 1922 to 1932. I present my way through diverse document collections in order to identify the challenges posed by the remains of the past in this specific research.
