The periodism developed by the working class marked their presence in the Amazon scenario. It was provoked directly by the important changes in the regional scenario, especially the rapid economic expansion, which lured and marginalized a large number of urban workers. This article analyzes the rising of the first worker`s newspapers in Amazonas, that began in the late nineteenth century with the publication of the journals -1890 The Restorer, The Impartial - 1890; Gutenberg - 1891-1892; Worker -1892, and spread more vigorously during the first decades of the twentieth century. The emergence of these journals is directly related to the advancement of the press in the federal state of Amazonas, whether by proliferation of printing presses, concentrating the workers of the graphical segment that will be launched later in making their own newspapers, or the success of the new language, now able to articulate common interests and amplify the actions of groups and social segments that, until then, were unable to make themselves heard in the community.Downloads
