Cinematographic archives and historical research: methodological issues

The objective of this article is to think the issues raised by the historical research in cinema, aiming at mapping the problems caused by the full accessibility to the films and digital archives via the web, as well as to reflect the method issues used to analyze this topic. At last, this article discusses the value of moving images as document and its storage in Brazilian film archives.Downloads
