The neoliberal space: a discourse analysis of editorial veja magazine (1985-1989)

Veja magazine is currently one of the stalwarts who perpetratethe discourse of defense of neoliberal policies, as it defends the free market,
economic freedoms and shrinks the state. But to understand how this discourse
works today in our democracy, we must return to the beginning of the “New
Republic” to see how the magazine created what we call “neoliberal space”,
using its pages to sow own ideas to this policy and that in general, would guide
national policies in the 1990s.
