Abstract

This small text intends to dialog with one of the creators of the political sociology in Brazil, Alberto Guerreiro Ramos. This social scientist developed a single interpretation of brazilian society, acute and fearless, in a time that the strong blow of the comtenian positivism and the durkheimnian functionalism dominated hearts and minds in the human and nature sciences. However, Guerreiro Ramos always seemed very critical to marxist readings too, made particularly by the Brazilian Communist Party (PCB) about brazilian reality and its revolutionary process.
