Abstract
This work aims to investigate under the point of view of immigration and Ambient History the relation between man x transformation of the forest covering in the settling of the Alto Vale do Rio do Peixe, in the state of Santa Catarina. Enclosing the period after the Contestado War until half of century XX, the work tells about the settling of european origin migrants, who had come on most from Rio Grande do Sul, in the area that, in 1934, became to be the city of CaçadorDownloads
