The paper attempts to show how conceptual and methodological tools of Global History can contribute to thinkin about the movement called Urban Sketchers (Usk). Because it is a global phenomenon, this analysis makes use of alternative notions of space, flexible scales and causal explanations at the global level, and seeks to abandon methodological nationalisms and essentialisms. As a movement that brings together people from the most distant places and aims to create a global community of sharing drawings, the Global History approach can provide valuable assistance in understanding this phenomenon that has been growing around the world for almost sixteen years.
