The present paper is a brief commentary on the article by historian Odilon Caldeira Neto, entitled Neofascism in Brazil, from local to global?. In this aspect, the text seeks to insert the author's proposal in a wider historiographical debate about the growth of studies on the right wing, and particularly on the radical right, both in the Brazilian and international scenario. Next, I discuss the author's argument concerning the passage from a local history of neofascist movements in Brazil to a global perspective, also proposing the hypothesis of a connected history of neo-fascist groups since the second half of the twentieth century.
