Edifício das Diretorias: Emblema Modernista em Florianópolis
Abstract
This article is an attempt to analyze the Edifício das Diretorias, where the offices of the State public power are gathered, localized in Florianópolis’s downtown. Its architectural language is clearly modernist, representing the cultural modernization process of the country, started in the 1930’s. From this building and considering the wide application of specifcs constructions techiniques, that growth in that period of time, and the cultural changes that works in the architecture field, it will be possible put in a large contexte. At same time, will be appointed peculiarities of the project and relations with the historical downtown architecture.Downloads
