Orientação nutricional na prevenção e controle de doenças cardiovasculares numa comunidade universitária

Este trabalho relata as relações e as situações vividas pelos pacientes do Hospital da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) com dislipidemia, evidenciando a importância de se desempenhar os cuidados com o estado nutricional, de maneira coerente com as expectativas e necessidades de cada indivíduo. Dentro dessa perspectiva, realizou-se um acompanhamento nutricional de pacientes que participaram do Núcleo Interdisciplinar Pesquisa e Assistência a Dislipidemia do Hospital Universitário (NIPEAD-HU-UFSC), interferindo positivamente no estilo de vida dos mesmos, reforçando a importância da orientação nutricional como medida de prevenção de doenças cardiovasculares.
