O PROJETO IMAGINE E OS DESAFIOS DAEXTENSÃO SEM FRONTEIRAS
Abstract
O Projeto Imagine visa desenvolver atividades de popnlari?.ação científica em diferentes países. Neste tnibalho o foco form1 ações envolvendo jovens de comunidades btasileiras, Coxilha Rica e Major Gercino, em Santa Catarina, e uma peruana, em Calca. Este trabalho apresenta o relato de experiências que abordam o tema DNA, Diversidade e Hereditariedade. Através das vivências realizadas entre cientistas e alunos, foram desenvolvidas atividades que incluíram experimentação avançada em biologia molecular. Registrou-se cada dia de atividade, material este usado para a análise deste trabalho e também para a produção de três documentários (https:/ /projetoimagine.ufsc.br). As estmtégias empregadas possibilitanttn discussões sobre como os grupos humanos se otgatmam, como são classificados e quais as implicações destas abordagens para a sociedade. A logística da etapa internacional no Peru foi um dos maiores desafios na execução do projeto. Romper as frontx:iras que cercam o ambiente acadêmico mostrou-se importante para uma aproximação entre as culturas científicas e locais.
