Little Architects extension project: ludic-constructive experiences in the city

This paper considering that recognizing the environmental perception, the interpretation of the signs and images of the city and the transformation of the environment as are inherent capabilities of the human being so, in this sense, the extension project “Pequenos Arquitetos: ludic-constructive experiences in the city” aimed to encourage students in the first years of elementary school to read and think about the city that we live. For this, students and professors of the undergraduate course in Architecture and Urbanism at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), carried out research after bibliographic research on children's perception of the environment on urban perception, and developed a workshop and experience in the center of Florianópolis with 15 children. After carrying out the activity, it was possible to analyze the different perceptions of the city shown by the children. This report describes the steps developed by the team, in addition to reflecting on some of the results obtained - drawings that reveal other cities within the city, stripped of preconceptions.
