This article explains the building up of the outreach project “Human Rights Course to basic education teachers in the area of Florianopolis”, which has been organized since 2019 by the Working Group on Education and Human Rights of the Memory and Human Rights Institute (IMDH/UFSC). The project aims to provide continued formation for teachers based on the Human Rights Education National Plan (2007) and the Education in Human Rights National Guidelines (2013). The Course started in 2020, with an on-site workshop at the Jacob Anderle School. After the Covid-19 pandemics, online activities were organized such as debates on human rights via Youtube in 2020 and 2021 and a virtual course in 2021. During this period, the course contributed to the training of hundreds of basic education professionals, in the scope of Human Rights.
