This article presents the “Ludic Approaches to Electricity for Children's Science Education” project and discusses the
results achieved in this extension action. In this project, students of the Electrical Engineering Course at a public
institution in the north of Santa Catarina were encouraged to develop static electricity workshops, with storytelling and
ludic activities, for children aged 6 to 9 years old from public schools in a municipality neighboring the education
institution. 26 undergraduate students, who presented 6 workshops to approximately 240 children, participated in the action. The extensionists evaluated the action as relevant to their academic training, in addition to reporting the satisfaction of verifying the children's engagement in the activities. The project, developed between July to December 2022 in the course of Communication and Expression, shows the viability of the extension curricularization in higher education, and the educational gains for both the extensionists and the external community.
