A participação dos idosos nos grupos de convivência como uma possibilidade de um envelhecimento saudável

Este artigo tem por objetivo identificar os elementos decorrentes da participação dos idosos nos grupos de convivência, a partir do exercício profissional do assistente social. Resulta de uma pesquisa interdisciplinar realizada com grupos de idosos no município de Florianópolis/SC, cujos resultados evidenciaram a relevância do grupo de convivência em suas vidas quanto ao processo de socialização e prevenção ao isolamento social, contribuindo, assim, para o processo democrático em construção, bem como a ampliação e consolidação da cidadania e dos Direitos Humanos.
