Ensino, Pesquisa e Extensão Para a Inclusão das Pessoas com Lesão Medular Traumática

O artigo apresenta o trabalho realizado por professores, acadêmicos e voluntários dos cursos de graduação em Enfermagem e Educação Física da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), no qual o ensino, a pesquisa e a extensão são articulados e integrados. A partir do objetivo de atender à pessoas com lesão medular e suas famílias desde o momento da internação em unidades de terapia intensiva, até a alta hospitalar e o retorno para suas casas, são realizadas diversas atividades contemplando a discussão e a reflexão teórica sobre este tema – lesão medular - até a prática do cuidado e reabilitação destas pessoas. O respectivo trabalho transita entre os diversos níveis de complexidade do sistema de saúde no Brasil – da alta complexidade até atenção básica - no qual acadêmicos e professores atuam e interagem com esta parcela populacional. Desta maneira, há o aprendizado coletivo antes, durante e após a ação, numa relação dialética entre ação e reflexão sobre uma realidade concreta. Nesta relação dialógica, todos apreendem, pessoa com lesão medular, seus familiares, professores e acadêmicos. Consubstancia numa forma peculiar do processo ensino-aprendizagem que integra na essência o ensino, a pesquisa e a extensão.
