Abstract

This article is centered on the idea that capital accumulation is anti-ecological. The profit is incompatible with the preservation of nature. The crisis of this, currently embodied in the global warming, is caused not by natural reasons, but rather for imperative of a social and economic mode of production, which has used since the industrial revolution of fossil fuels: oil and mineral coal. The alternative to the ecological devastation is in the production of plants located mainly in the intertropical regions, with Brazil being the largest tropical country in the world.
