International Journal of Knowledge Engineering and Management (IJKEM) is promoted by the Engieneering and Knowledge Management Program at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (EGC/UFSC).

International Journal of Knowledge Engineering and Management (IJKEM) is an interdisciplinary journal focused on Engineering, Innovation and Management and knowledge media studies. It aims to provide a space for multi/inter/transdisciplinary scientific/technological debate. Thus, its guiding mission is to promote the advancement of the frontiers of knowledge as a factor of production and generation of social, economic, environmental and/or organizational value, in this sense, to disseminate research that contributes to the advancement and strengthening of the sustainable development of organizations and societies.

Articles published in IJKEM must be the result of scientific research (bibliographic, documental, experimental), technological research, theoritical essays based on literature review and case studies. All of them, preferably, with at least one of the authors with a PhD degree.

Papers must be original and unpublished in order to make a contribution to the scientific community.

Articles already presented in other journals or in full at scientific events will not be accepted. Only those communications not presented in full will be accepted, such as "short papers" or abstracts, whenever the works are re-elaborated, expanded and the changes are significant. It is understood that this last text will be unpublished in relation to the first, thus, it can be accepted for evaluation.
